Marvin M. Portner, M.D., Board Certified in Allergy, Immunology, and Internal
Medicine trained at the University of Michigan and UCLA. Since early in 1970,
Marvin has integrated holistic, alternative medicine into his traditional medical
training and practice. As a private practice physician, Marvin spends time with
his patients getting to know them and talking to them about their history as
well as about their health concerns and decisions. Phone calls are returned and
appointments are made in a timely manner. The office runs on time with no bureaucracy.
Fees may be adjusted to meet the needs of the individual patient. Each person
is treated according to his/her own needs rather than as an impersonal clinical
case.
Eleanor Haspel-Portner, Ph.D., was licensed as a clinical psychologist
in 1973. She trained at the University of Chicago, Committee on Human Development
with
post-doctoral training at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Chicago.
Eleanor works extensively with consciousness expanding tools as well as with
relationship issues, creative consultations, astrological information, and healing
modalities. Eleanor works primarily with short-term therapeutic interventions
focusing on positive changes for a happy, fulfilled life. She is knowledgeable
in nutrition, diet, and exercise. She is also a psychic. Eleanor has statistically
verified the Multidimensional Design System, an astrological, whole body system
based on the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, the Hindu Chakra System, the astrological
Zodiac, and the I-Ching. She is currently mapping consciousness using Multidimensional
Design Matrices with good scientific and clinical validation of her work. A Multidimensional
Design reading can have a profound impact on one’s life.
Dyan Haspel-Johnson, Ph.D. obtained her doctorate in health psychology from
Sabrook Graduate School and Research Institute. She received training in hypnosis
in 1995. She has practiced mind/body therapy and hypnosis as a specialist in
a private therapy practice, medical practice and, previously, at UCLA’s
Behavioral Medicine Clinic. Dyan focuses on chronic problems (everything from
fibromyalgia to phobias) with the goal of helping to empower individuals to
transform their weaknesses into strengths. She is the Co-Chair of Programs
for the Southern California Society of Clinical Hypnosis. She currently works
in private practice in Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades, California, using
a variety of methodologies to fit each patient, including making individualized
hypnosis CD’s that people can listen to on their own, as well as doing
more traditional therapy sessions.
